About Me

I am Courtney Mikayla Turner from Thomasville North Carolina. I am a straight up Jesus Freak. My favorite color is yellow. I love spending time with friends and family, reading, walks on the beach, breaking out into random dance moves, and daily concerts in my car. I have been pressed to create this website because this world is in need of some LOVE. There is so much uncertainty going on in the world and it's time that I allow my light to shine for others to see. 

God has absolutely blessed me with this life to live. And he only gave me one so this is me living it to the fullest..

I was born and raised in the same town I still live in. I swear this place has a magnet on it. People leave, but always make their way back. It is my favorite place to be. I have my family, friends, a job, I am currently continuing my education, and I know that I have a purpose in this life. 

You may think mannnnn, she's got it all together, but let me tell you it has been a struggle. I am the oldest sister of 3. Mom and dad divorced when I was 22 and my life flipped upside down. It is not like it was an easy life before their divorce, but God always provided for us and has always protected us in the difficult times.

In 2020 I had a plan to end my life. I had lost my Poppi, the world went into a shut down, I felt myself slipping and broke up with my boyfriend after 3 1/2 years. I lost my whole mind. My negative thoughts were overpowering my positive ones and I was ready to cut the ties to this earth. I said my goodbyes to everyone, broke down to my mom, and ended up admitting myself into a mental hospital. It was right then and there that I mad the decision to live instead of going through with my plan. I received the utmost help from High Point Regional. I met this man there named Ed. If you have been then you know Ed, because he is a blessing to this world. He helped me figure it out and he was a huge help in me getting back on my feet. I had struggled with drugs in my past and was nervous about the medicine I was being told to take. But let my tell you, IT IS OKAY TO NOT BE OKAY. God created so many cool people on this earth and has equipped them with the knowledge to help those who have gone astray. You are not alone in your struggles. You are actually wonderfully and uniquely made. Christians go through struggles too & do not always have it together. 

This fight for my life and choice to flourish instead of my family burying me in the ground was a blessing from God. I got the help that I needed. When I walked out of the hospital I was not sure what to do, but I had a community of people who was there for me. I journaled, I participated in self-care, I reached out to my therapist when I was struggling mentally, and I read my Bible. I had to understand why God still loved me and wanted to continue out with HIS PLAN that he had for my life. I believe that I am here today to be an ear for you. I am just a human on this earth. We are all battling things that we do not want to talk about, but it is almost like a burden is lifted when you share your story. 

I will use this website to share more of my story and would love to hear of yours too. Like the seashells that get washed ashore. You know they have a story, but we will never know where they came from and how they got right here at our fingertips, but WE do have a story to share. We can share our story to the world and be a light to others. When you are in that dark place it is so hard to get out, but you CAN do it. You are strong. You are loved. You are a prized possession. Do not give up.
